Benefits
- Japan
is an exciting mix of traditional culture and modern technology. Exchange
students in Japan
are totally immersed in the Japanese language and culture and naturally
develop language skills quickly and to an extent that is impossible in any
other situation.
- Students also quickly realise and appreciate that the way of life in Japan
is very different to that of Australia
and that there is no “right or wrong” as such, just different
ways of approaching and doing things. This awareness leads to greater
tolerance and understanding.
- Students develop maturity and resourcefulness by living away from their
family in Australia.
For most exchange students their time in Japan
is their first taste of life away from home and students find themselves
more mature individuals upon their return. This maturity is often
evident in enhanced self-esteem and greater independence.
